Storage Pad, Drainage & Custom Gate
Pole barn storage pad
The client needed an additional storage pad next to an existing pole barn, on a site with a slope and gutter runoff working against them. We handled the whole job, from dirt to drainage to finished slab, plus a custom gate to close it in.
- Excavated the old slope to create a level, buildable area beside the barn.
- Rerouted the gutter drains to run underneath the new slab.
- Plumbed three floor drains into the slab.
- Ran the drain line out downhill and away from the building.
- Built a 3-ft CMU retaining wall with vertical and horizontal rebar reinforcement.
- Poured the finished slab with the floor drains set flush.
- Fabricated a custom double gate to close in the pad.
About Us
I was born and raised in the Colorado Springs area and have spent my career working construction here. I also spent a year in project management with a large retrofit contractor in Boulder before coming home to focus on what I wanted to build: an excavation and site work company in my own hometown.
